IM Ryo Chen’s Simultaneous Chess Exhibition in Tachikawa
On July 29th, you are invited to witness a spectacular display of chess skills by IM Ryo Chen, one of the world’s top young chess players. He will play against multiple opponents at the same time in a simultaneous chess exhibition at the Tachikawa Chess Club.
Ryo is a 13-year-old International Master (IM) who started playing chess in Japan at the age of 7. He represented Japan in the 2018 Eastern Asia Chess Tournament in Shanghai and won prizes in multiple categories. In 2019, he moved to the United States and achieved the IM title at age of 12. He has improved dramatically in less than six years since he started chess and is now ranked among the top junior players in the world.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see Ryo in action and challenge him face to face. The exhibition will start at 1:00pm and last until all games are finished. There are limited seats available, so please register in advance by contacting the Tachikawa Chess Club. We hope to see you there!
